I have a 2000 Golf GLS 1.8T that I would like to trade for a good running MK2 VR...
I prefer a local trade but for the right trade I would be willing to drive a little. The golf is really clean with small blemishes on the body, but overall not bad for a 12 year old car. Has a small rust spot on the pass fender and a few small dings and dents. The car has 220k miles on it but they were all very well maintained. Recent major work done to the car including head gasket, timing belt, water pump, flywheel replacement and clutch...

Brand new washer nozzles
New upper tranny mount @ 217k
New battery replaced @ 212k
Things still left to do:
Plan on having the Roof color coated to the moldings, will also finish the side moldings. The rear valence will be stripped of the paint on it and painted to the front lip. I need to rehit the wheels with some polish for that nice shine again..
Has check engine light on, had it scanned at my local VW Dealer, its a rear O2 Sensor the one for the cat so it doesnt effect the gas mileage.
The exhaust has started to have a little leak by the clamp connecting the CAT to the rest of the exhaust... So it will need a new clamp. But its not loud at all, but you can hear it a little.
Needs front strut mount bushings and a the rears are starting to go as well. Not an exspensive replacement part, but thats to the CRAP CT roads they wore out quicker then they should've.
The arm rest is broken on the top piece... Closes but it will slide open.. They make a repair kit for it but never got around to doing it.
Other then that the car runs and drives fine... It has never given me an issue and it is my daily driver. I get great gas mileage on it, and the car has been driven everywhere lol... NC, Maryland, NYC, NJ, MASS.. you name it shes been there...
I would like to trade for a nice VR ( GTi Prefer'd ) I would like to get it in white, T-Red, Surf Green, or a nice color... Please NO SILVER's OR BLACK... So tired of owning those colors... I also wouldn't mind a clean 2.0, both have to be a 5spd and I dont mind if they need a little work because my MK4 is not perfect either...
I Prefer a straight trade, NO CASH FROM EITHER END... its makes it easier i think... lol..
So shoot me some offers, the worst I would say is NO....
