TCL:
If you don't keep it below 5/10 or only drive fast at track=you are a streetracer and are going to kill babies soon and should go to jail.
Lol nobody "streetraces" except retards from light to light. It's about who is the fastest on the hill and who can keep up and who gets left behind.
To some people this=streetracing.![]()

Here are some pre-widebody for the collection:
Additionally, if we're talking obscene Lotus, you can't avoid mentioning the Blackwatch Racing Auto-x car, three time SCCA X-prep solo champ. It probably makes half as much power as Frank's car but it also has some mad impressive bespoke fab work:

I am with you, I liked it better before he did the widebody and paint, the mechanicals and interior are very cool though
Except it isn't tracked and you can't use that much power in the canyons, he built it so he can brag online about how fast it is and he is a major dick about it too, he has been banned from nearly every forum.
And the car spends as much time in the repair shop as it does on the road

Really badass, love the color scheme and that shifter!

I really like the interior appointments and the shifter layout but the exterior just isn't my thing... I cringe a lot of the time when I see an Exige or Elise done up like this with masses of power as the original balance of the car was geared towards handling. I can't help but think that having that much power in a car that weighs a bit over 2K lbs on such a short wheelbase makes it a white knuckle ride through the corners.

Not the same car, but still cool!
Most of my project is a copy of the work Frank (aka Ronin) has done on his Exige. Frank (and others on MM, like CharlieX) is willing to freely provide insight to fellow enthusiasts, I admire that. Frank has posted very good information on Seloc, it can be found here: http://forums.seloc.org/viewthread.php?tid=152945

I haven't followed much of his online antics, but Frank is funny to listen to. Definitely not the person who you might expect to see driving this car - at least it caught me by surprise.
The car is nothing short of amazing.

As I watch this video.. I came when I heard the supercharger, and then came when I heard the turbo spool behind it and then came again when I heard the BOV off the turbo..

While I love old race cars (I used to help a family friend campaign his McLaren M6A) and I watch in amazement of what they did back in the day, I'm much happier today when there isn't a 1 in 3 chance of dying each time you head out onto track.
Driving that car anywhere near its limit on a public road IS dangerous no matter how "good" the driver is or thinks he is. I've driven canyon roads quickly in a car with 1/8th the performance of this Lotus and that was dangerous also. While it's fun to carve up the twisties I know the only place to truly prove your mettle is on the race track. Doing it on the street is just bravado and meaningless bragging rights. Even if the canyon road is 1-way it's still dangerous to extract that much speed on a public road. If you need radios, spotters, the cover of darkness, the isolation of 3am, if cops can arrest you if caught, etc. then it is street racing.
