300zx is one of the best looking cars of its era. I never know people lusted over the looks of the supra, I thought it was all about the 2jz

300zx for me because I love the quad exhaust and T-Tops are one of my favourite features of sports cars in the 80's/90's. I love the cockpit look of the interior better than the 300zx by a landslide though.

Either way both are so badass and I'd love to own either(moreso a 300zx since I've had a hardon for them for like the past 5-6 years).

I think the 3rd gen Supra was a lot better looking than the last gen Supra by a huge margin though.

I concur completely. The rear on the z in particular is stunning. It's most unfortunate that soooo many Z32s fall victim to poor aesthetic modification. MkIII supra vs. Z31 is a different story however, though the latter does have that particular 80s appeal in droves. But yeah, i wouldn't call the mk4 supra ugly but it's surely too exaggerated to my eyes. The 300zx is clean and crisp without trying too hard.

Interior wise, i feel the same as well- z32>mk4, mk3>z31.

Supra. Although I think the MK3 looks way better than the MK4.

I lust after one of these.
Out of the two options though, ZX by a mile. I have never been a fan of the tail lights on the ZX, but overall it is better than the Supra. Now if only Supra-esque tails could be adapted to the 300ZX...

    Pretty even split!

    I prefer the supra.
    ETA hate the 300 headlights.

    Also vote rx7

Supra has aged WAY better. the Nissan looks rather 90s ish (natch) where the Supra still looks somewhat more recent. especially inside. I always loved the Supra's interior.

I don't mind either, would prefer a skyline over both. But id say performance wise supra wins, and looks wise I guess its just personal taste

Thread title CLEARY states which "LOOKS" better. I'd take the Z all day but a better comparison would be the ZX and a markIII Supra

no you fail. The thread is focusing on which cars look better and the option were these 2 cars. This is what the OP wanted to know. Why would we just start randomly adding cars that weren't part of the poll? You're what's wrong with TCL.

The 300ZX TT is one of the top classic automotive designs.
The Supra TT? Not even in the top 100.
The Supra's beauty came from its performance.

300ZX... especially in lighter colors... though somehow it looks more dated than the supra...

They're both damn good, it was a tough choice for me. Went Supra, it's just perfect with the right wheels, suspension, and minor mods.

The Nissan is no slouch tho..

There sure are some colossal retards in the TCL. The OP asked about two cars in particular. Who cares about what else is out there.

  17. 03-20-2012 11:08 PM #52
The Z is a very hot little package, unless you've tried to work on one... in which case you are scarred for life.

    For that reason: supra x1000000000000000000

  18. 03-20-2012 11:13 PM #53
While I do like the Supra styling, and may even consider it "sexier" (I hate that word, especially when used to describe inanimate objects), 300ZX has too much funky fresh flavor to ignore. In conclusion,

300ZX possesses style by the square mile; Supra has fried-egg headlights.

    Please use a better word.
Using retard to describe the voluntarily moronic trolls in TCL just makes all retards look bad.

My buddy USN_JeepWK's 300ZX. It was like looking at a life size Hot Wheel. Also close to 500 hp.

    I'm gonna vote 300ZX.

300ZX, and running away. That car still looks exceptionally modern today; the interior layout is about perfect. Winner inside and out.

My (gone) Pearl White '91 Coupe. My business partner has a low mileage pearl white '93 convertible that basically will never, ever, be for sale.

Other the the taillights and (Dodge Charger Daytona) wing- what was distinctive about the Supra TT design?
The 300ZX TT is a great design.
The Supra TT is a generic sports car design that always looks better with mods.

I've always like the high and huge rear bumper on the Supra. The whole rear section is just beefy with a substantial feeling.

Easily the Mk.IV Supra. That design still looks fresh while the ZX looks somewhat awkward and decidedly 90's.

I'm shocked at the results of this poll.

    Mk4 Supra's aged horribly...they practically spew 90's-ness.

I disagree if we're talking about the raw designs of both cars. The Supra with some more contemporary touches like minor aero (maybe just a lip) and being lowered on aftermarket wheels is still very appealing to this day.

The proportion of the greenhouse going into the hatch and the wedge shape of the 300ZX always struck me as being awkward in design though it pulls it off a bit better in person. Outside of that, it does look somewhat slab sided and featureless aside of its shape... Imo

If the Supra looked like this:

Then I would say Supra. But it doesn't. Therefore, 300ZX.
