my 03 just started making a woomp woomp noise that i think is coming from the front of the engine. I can hear it from inside the car but it is hard to nail down where exactly it is coming from. car has 113K miles on it and just had timing belt done 3k miles ago. i am going to pull the serpentine belt and run it to see if the noise goes away. Oil is fresh and at right level. Car seems to be running fine and we just got back from a long road trip(thats when noise started) CEL is on but i haven't scanned for codes yet. What does a failing power steering pump sound like? Water pump was changed with timing belt so i hope it is not that. Am I on the right track pulling the serp belt off?
