I know it is a good price, but with no proven info on gains and sound, I think it is way too much. I did a full custom setup thy sounded great on my W8 and it cost me $300. If it can be done for around $1000-1100, and show some good gains and sound quality with little drone, it would be worth it.

I've got no horse in this race since I have a 2.0T, but considering a Billy Boat catback for my car is $700-800, I'd say the $1500 is about right since it's twice the material.

Agreed, but borla's price prob reflects projections of what sales wil be, and r+D that goes into making it. He showed us the dodge version because it is similar in style. I just hope it doesn't end up being more because there are a lot less 3.6 guys looking for exhaust, then there are 5.7L hemi owners I'm sure.

And although a custom exhaust can be had for 300, does that include what you paid (or wouldve paid a shop ) for labor. Bending? cutting, welding, hangers, high quality steel, flanges/sleeves, mufflers, 02 bungs. You get the idea.

I understand all this and yes the $300 was for everything. They test fitted everything and bent all pipes to fit. No O2 bungs on cat back systems.

Wish there was some sort of option for us.

This current thread is for those looking to commit to a manuf system, not general questions that are covered elsewhere. .

If you remove the center-pipe resonator, be sure to even the exhaust flow with an X-Pipe or a Universal Muffler with an on-board X-Pipe.

1400 isnt that bad considering I paid 1150 for my 1.8'ts turbo back, and this is a lot more piping.

Lol you guys wanted a company to make exhaust, and this is why they dont do it. because people dont wanna pay. If the gains arent there (or decent sound) then it isnt worht it I agree, but YOU bought the 3.6, and it deserves a quality exhaust. Im just hoping the piping is stainless. the reason they dont offer kits for the car is because of a limited market to begin with. 1400-1500 is reasonable.

Alvint, do you know if an x-pipe and true dual will actually benefit what is essentially an inline motor? I know x+h pipes work good on 90 degree v8s and v6s. But im curious what the thought process is behind choosing that path for the 3.6.
A properly designed x-pipe may add performance and enhance the sound but without building a system and running dynamometer we really cant say.

I would have offered my car (100% stock) for testing but you are not nearby.

This example represents a Borla true-dual for the best B6 AWD system in performance, look, sound, and estimated price:

Let me know if this is what you guys are thinking... Thanks for your interest in Borla!
I personally am interested in this, but if it falls through, I will do my own exhaust. Looking at the above exhaust and the cost, if it were me, I would use a single 3" in center muffler with either a 3" out with a Y connector or a dual 2.25". This would reduce the cost by $175-$250 as one muffler would be eliminated as well as one to two clamps and the front pipe ahead of the center muffler shown above is not needed in the 3.6 cars.

supersprint makes an exhaust for the CC3.6l its way more than 1400

Looks like a v-band clamp but hard to tell.

Maybe depending on price point and exhaust note

I have an '09 cc VR 4mo, and looking around for some worth while upgrades. I was wondering if you ever took out the pre-cats.
