    Testing waters on my GTI...... It's been a long, good run but life needs to go on... I love her but the fact is I can't keep putting money into her cause I have many other things to pay for plus I really want to get my Supra back on the road.

    I have receipts for a lot of the earlier repairs, like a new clutch kit at 180k.
    The body is in good shape for its age. The undercarriage is in amazing shape as well. The floors are mint. ABSOLUTELY NO ROT!!

    It's a Westie, too. 1VW VIN. 10/85 production date. '86 was the first year for Tornado Red, dunno if that matters or not but considering it was built in '85 it's probably one of the oldest surviving original T-Red GTI's. It was also built without power steering, power locks, power windows, or a sunroof, which were all popular GTI options.

    She's at 199k miles right now. Just put a new clutch cable in a week ago. I drive it everyday a LOT so the miles will go up. Throw me fair offers and we'll talk. Car will come with the original snowflakes, not the wheels pictured.
