nice price. wonder how this thing fares?

    food for thought:
i feel like i've read in multiple locations that any aftermarket intake does the job of an aftermarket intake...provides good enough air filtration while opening up flow for the engine (stock so stuffed up!). i feel like with apr, we're paying for how awesome it looks and the fact that we pull from the same source (ram-air effect, but we can't call it that since dodge currently owns the "ram-air" name since the early 90's) which is why i paid the extra for APR...i guess sounds will be different. idgaf either way, an intake is an intake, APR's looks and sounds good though.

overall, i bet this thing does a perfect job of what we need it to do at a very very very wallet-friendly price...and until i hear otherwise, i won't say anything bad.

You should be able to get a cheap ass bit set for the security screws at your local bargain store.

This. Other than that it looks like a viable option. Curious to see reviews.

The more cold air the better, especially if an intake is sucking the air right off the top of the motor

Doesn't the Injen intake look similar? Or is it the BSH? I'm sure you could buy just the heat shield from one of them as the intake is almost identical.

Honestly though I've never seen any testing on engine bay temps at that location with or without a heat shield so were all just theorizing at this point.

it says its for all MK6's...2010-2012 model as of current. same engines in all three models -.-

please, someone correct me if i am wrong, but somehow i don't think i am. the only differences are the ECU's really, and they're probly not all that different either.

    I personally wouldn't buy one.
    My points:
    - No heat shield
    - Doesn't look secure (MAF surges)
    - Filter is angled/ placed wrong and will not efficiently utilize the air inlet on the grill.

There are CCTA and CBFA engines, each require a different intake as the CBFA has an additional breather located near the intake filter (as seen in OP picture), that would be a CBFA engine. You can locate your type on the left side of the engine next to the Cam cover

The air is heated up once it enters the turbo i thought. On a NA motor i feel a true cold air is a must, but i see 1000hp motors with filters inside the engine bay with no heat sheild...

So my package arrived, and here are the pics of the unboxing:

    Uses a K&N cone

Also needed a "security torx" bit (sorry for the crappy focus)

    Installed:

The MAF sensor: (went the extra mile and cleaned the sensor with a MAF cleaner)

It was a real pain the butt installing this since I had never installed a "full intake" just one that attaches straight to the stock tubing. It fit solid and all the ports matched up just fine.

My real reason for replacing my old intake was I was throwing a P1335 code (torque limit exceeded) after much research I found a few threads with my same symptoms and they all concluded with the help of Revo that it was from the intake. In hopes of fixing this I went with this option since it was a full intake with an amazing price.

What do you know? The problem has dissapeared Thanks Revo and Autotech

Sound: Sounds amazing, pretty damn loud, kind of like the P-flo

As far as performance, same thing as every intake, its an intake

Build quality is very nice, it's VERY light and feels solid.

    Any other questions?

PS: Mods are Revo Stage 2 ECU flash, USP motorsports DP with custom cat, and a resonator delete.

Unless they just have one pipe and plug that bung. That's a deal breaker.

Thanks man! and yeah I just read through the directions... it says vehicles with the ccta code will have to plug the opening with the provided cap.

That is because the increased IAT's are negligent, just like the DCI's on the BMW N54.
