Blue painters tape to prevent rocks and bugs from damaging the paint!

It's the only way to go!

Why not clear 3M it if concerns with rock chips etc? Invisible and protects the paint. I'm sure painters tape cheaper but really??

3m clear bra likes to turn a hazy yellow over time... And this only takes 20 min

Clear bra removal and re application = Hell

Why not just wrap the car in bubble wrap and be done with it? No chances of damage ever again!

Depends on the 3M product - most of the "scotchguard" line is intended for permanent use & quite frankly is a PITA. Their "vinyl" products however are very easy to use even for the most rank amature (me) and leave no residue/marking...

but I've done the blue tape special for transport before
