Okay now he's the part people won't really see too much. I know some people may not like my car, but I'm fine with that, to each their own.
    1981 rabbit diesel 1.6
I bought it from my brother, who bought it from a fellow up north who couldn't get it to run. But anyways, my brother got it running and brought it home, he bought his second caddy so he sold me the rabbit. Shortly there after, I bought a box of goodies from autohausAz, ARP, raceland, hansdiesel and BFI. Purchase a set of minty Ronal Turbos from a friend for a really good deal.
The second week of me driving her to work, the head gasket went put, so time to have some fun and fix her up internally just as well as externally.
No real plans, just have fun.

nothing wrong with you car man
    1.6D are good engines

    but....where is hood?....
    bumpers?....

and thanks for the bay shots, i was curious how the german vs USA brake lines were routed
i thought my 78 looked funny...

and if youre going to go doing all that bay cleaning
you should remove the battery completely

I love the 1.6. I'm going to be routing the battery to the back. The hood is in off and in safe keeping so it doesn't get damaged. It also didn't come with bumpers, but i do have a set of European bumpers.

I got the yellow hood in storage, I just need to grab it.

But the red mkii in the background is my buddy Mikey's, 90 coupe with a vr6, badass car.

I got racelands. They ride fairly good, the rears are slammed and I have 2.5inches of threads left in the front. I have to go to emissions this week.

I'll pm you about the hatch

Thank you! I'm pretty stoked at the way it's turning out!

My mkii jetta was all beat up so it was a bad start.
The two shells I had didn't have titles
My mkii 4door jetta had a lean on it from the PO
My caddy is mega project status. Probably going to sell it
And then there's my bunny, finally getting in the right direction!

Okay, got a few goodies mounted up today.
Just so you guys know, with the diesels, if you get a raceland upper strut bar, it doesn't clear the banjo fitting on the top of the fuel filter, so either relocate it, or as I did, move so it's on only the back mount

The bumper brackets are staying for now, just until I know the car is solid and won't leave me stranded.

Thanks man, I actually traded the jetta awhile back.

    I traded the
    87 jetta coupe for a 84 350 swap s10
Traded the s10 for a 89 b16 swapped Honda sedan
Traded the sedan for a 86 Honda hatchback
Traded the hatchback for a 98 Suzuki 600
    Sold the Suzuki for cash.

I made out in the end and had a little bit of fun with some different cars.

But on another note, I'm selling my caddy project.

    I love it man!

Where did you get that peel and seal?

Could you give me some info on that floor?
I wanted to do something similar.

What's wrong with a Fran fuel filter?

And what kind of info are you looking for On the flooring? The shape is really off so measurements would be a little weird. And it's just a template, I have more plans for it.

Check lowes. Certain lowes carry peel and seal, down the insulation isle. that was three rolls at $14 a roll. But it does have a very slight smell to it. And that was after I left them outside all day. Made a huge difference
