Supposedly there's a two hour episode tonight, still waiting for the torrent to show up. Glad to see it back after nearly a year and a half, I need something now that Walking Dead is done this season.

I'm eager to see if I can watch all the way thru tonight. DVR should make it better by being able to ff thru commercials.

I may be the only one sad about January Jones having a diminished role. I don't care for her acting too much - but shes nice to look at.

Solid premiere, but not as awesome as I would've thought it would be.

huge fan of the last seasons... thought the premier was boring. Megan bugs the heck out of me and i want to file down her over grown teeth. i hate that Joan has a baby, it really dims down her sexuality and power in the office. How she got all emotional... she never broke down before. I miss Betty. I also miss the old Don Draper, the snake and hot shot. How he easily let the client think for themselves was nothing like his character before. Peggy was right, makes him look weak.

I like the older seasons, especially when there was all the mystery about who Don Draper really was.

I also thought the premier was kind of boring. I thought we waited all this time for this? Two hours? It had 1/2 hour of commercials.

With the last few seasons it seems like we get mostly filler type episodes and then a few of sheer brilliance.

I liked the premiere. I think it's cool to see how many of them have changed. It's been several years now since Season 1 and to have everyone still be their old selves would get old quick.

WOW at Betty on tonight's episode!!!! I was wondering why they didn't show her in the premiere.

She had a baby between seasons. I'd bet most of that is latex face/neck additions as she wasn't that fat when she was pregnant. Likely within a few episodes she'll drop it as she becomes an amphetamines addict and even more out of control. It won't be pretty -

Yeah, that's all most definitely a fat suit/cosmetics. Hollywood actresses stay remarkably fit/trim through their pregnancies. And good call on her turning into a "diet pill" junkie ... hopefully she doesn't turn out into a huge addict wreck like the mom in "Requiem For a Dream."

Oh, it's going to get u-g-l-y from here on out wherever Betty is concerned. She is going to blow apart her marriage and possibly even Don's. He is still going to be Don too, his marriage is going to stumble right about the time Betty shows up after a huge fight with her husband except she is going to 30 lbs. lighter. They are setting her character up for the classic mid-60's housewife scenario, bored, moneyed, inferiority complex, drugged up, and needing affirmation & attention. Anyways, that's my prediction FWIW.

Just a note: Nothing against torrents, but it seems you like the show so why not show some support by either going to the link provided by Speaker, getting it on Xbox Live, waiting for it to be on Netflix, watching it with a buddy, etc. I mean, it must help them number wise (I am not a ratings or ad revenue expert so who really knows).

It isn't stealing if it is available free.

Maybe start your own thread on torrents elsewhere rather than sub-topic it here?

Don's dream? the fascination of the killing/rapes? Joan's husband rather be at war then stay at home with her?

What about the shot of Sally sleeping underneath her grandmother on the sofa right after Don kicked the woman underneath the bed in his fever nightmare?

The whole show seemed to be about killing/raping. Even joan brought up old stuff when she was telling whats-his-face that he wasn't a good man.

I was getting weirded out by the the don-dreamer part. Was having a bit of trouble figuring out his dream from reality. (Let's be real, does anyone really think that don wouldn't get sideways with the lady in yellow again?)

Grandma was freaking me out with the big knife and stories...yikes!

It was awesome. I thought the whole thing was extremely well done.

I'm trying to understand why Joan's husband wanted to go back to Vietnam, but I guess it seems like he just craves the power and attention he gets in the service and it's something he doesn't really get at home. I also question if he has his doubts about the baby being his. The whole rape/murder thing was a pretty crazy theme for an episode too.

I'm going completely off my foggy memory here, but didn't he lose his position as a surgeon before he went to Vietnam?

No, I think the story was that he didn't get selected for any reputable surgery programs as he/parents/everyone had hoped and expected - but the army said "hey, this guy can hold a knife, he's a surgeon!"

The thing about sally under the couch-bed, and don kicking the imaginary dead woman under there - I think that was just a connection to the Speck murders in chicago, '66 ( was last season 64 or 5? did they skip a year or am I just dainbread?). The only survivor hid under a bed, plus - don's still got some secrets.

Speaking of don's secrets - did anyone notice how casually NewWife discussed Dick Whitman in one of the first two episodes?

Yeah, Megan was very casual about dropping "Dick Whitman" over the phone.

Also, I found this on grantland and was thoroughly amused.

He's pretty much been a professional failure and his wife, whom everyone else thinks is awesome, hits him over the head with vases and throws cutlery and plates at him and yells at him. You also sort of have to imagine that Joan pretty much pwns him in the sack.

I guess he found something he's good at, and he's passive aggressively trying to re-assert his male dominance by going back to Vietnam, where he's found something to be a part of.

at yesterday's episode. The fight between Lane and Pete was classic, Pete had that beatdown coming for a looooong time. Don not doing anything at the brothel shows just how much his character has changed; Season 1 Don would've tore that place up!

Anyone else creeped out with Pete trying to go after that girl in the driving class?
