Dubs on Defrost 5 New London area meet-up?

Haven't seen a thread for a DoD5 gtg for the New London area yet. So why not start one? I'm thinking of meet up at Crystal Mall like some people did last year. Behind Sears. Meet up at 10:00 and taking off at like 10:30 to meet up with the Ikea New Haven cruise. I'll be there at the Crystal Mall Sears parking lot, so if anyone does decide to come just meet me there. If not, see you at the show!

it was Rich that started it last year, he lives up by me in Norwich now, we were thinking of maybe meeting in East Lyme where both 395 and 95 join so we could catch people coming south from mass/ri/nh etc. Or maybe the mall. Def need to sort it out, it's coming. I posted that we would put a link on the DOD forum and on the northern cruise forum

I'm not sure if there is a group meeting up in new haven or not. There is a group meeting up at the mall right off exit 39b i95 S in Milford though if you guys wanted to join

It can be a pain in the ass to go in and out of that D&D, if the entrance to the driving range would permit low cars entering and exiting, it would be way better, plus the on ramp south is literally right there

haven't been through that DD since i worked in old lyme a few years ago, so i don't really remember how the entrance is. I was just thinking of DD because i know people like to have their morning joe. Also, The DoD5 page does say that the IKEA meet up cruise is happening.

another option could be the commuter lot at exit 71 on 4 mile river rd in o.lyme

apparently there's a weekly meet going on at the dick's sporting goods in waterford on thursdays at 7. anyone gonna go check it out? i'll be there this thurs. maybe hash out some details on the DoD5 meet up?

I think DD would be a pretty good option. I went to a DD by me in Waterford before I met up at the mall last year, so It would make sense. plus 95 is literally right there

I went to that meet last thursday. it was pretty sweet. only a few VW's and Audis, but still good none the less. its pretty good if you're in the area.

the problem with the D&D in EastLyme is that there is a lot of lights/etc between it and the highway and the lot at the D&D is set up strange. In all reality at this point we should probalbly just do the sear lot at the mall again

Yeah thats true.
The Mall is easier to get to, plus even for people on 395 all they have to do is get off on route 85 and go down the road a little.

and once again this year, im bringing my relatively stock mk4 jetta
at least it's lowered and on a little nicer wheels this time though

"the plan"-New London area. Crystal Mall Waterford, Sears lower lot, meet 9:30-9:45, leave 10*ish*, poss getting some RI/Mass travelers for the trip, stop at the Ikea in NH if the timing is right.
