Thread: Show me some mustangs that actually look good

  1. 03-27-2012 12:19 AM #1
Not really a fan, but ive seen a few here in VA that looked pretty good. One of them was an SVT cobra. Show me tastefully modded mustangs of any generation. Convince me.

You've honestly never seen any tastefully modded Mustangs that you like?

First off, do NOT light a fire next to a vintage GT 350.

Secondly, the '69 - '70 Boss 302 held it's own pretty well, thank you.

Title should be show me ugly mustangs. There are a lot more good looking body styles than bad.

The 1990 "7-Up" Mustangs are really cool. My friend has one. A quick Google tells me it was a marketing promotion between 7Up and Ford, and it fell through at the last minute. They were going to be contest prizes.

Ford had already built the cars into production, so they just released them to the public as special editions. They are LX 5.0 cars, Emerald Green over a white interior.

And one for the Mean Muggin' thread:

I used to own a dark blue '69 Boss 302 (sold it a million years ago at Barrett Jackson before the BJ auction became a TV extravaganza) for under $9K . I wanted to buy a burgundy Boss 429 a friend of mine had with the money from the 302 sale (plus a good handful more ) but the deal fell through . My next Mustang was a '85 302 GT hatch. My last Mustang was a '86 2.0L SVO. All of them were great cars but the Mustang I miss most was my '68 428SCJ factory lightweight fastback.

You, sir. You are my frickin hero. Well, aside from the whole selling the Boss 302 for $9K. The 68 428SCJ is pretty much my "attainable"dream car. Lottery car would be a pair of Boss's. 429 and 302. Burgundy would be my first choice in the 429 and Grabber Blue for the 302, please. Have any pics of your 302?

yea some of the older special editions were really nice. i'm partial to the '92 "Summer Special". It had custom white leather interior with red piping, a white convertible top, and white 5-spoke wheels.....and a spoiler instead of luggage rack

I really need to take some better pics but I think mine looks ok. When I was looking for one I was only willing to consider black, silver, dark grays or a Bullitt. Plan to continue to mess with stuff but keep a stock look on the outside.
