If i remember right it does share the same motor from the cobra, I believe that's why he posted it. Still not a 'Stang tho.

You all know that what you really want is an ASC Mclaren Mercury Capri.

Cool; I didn't know these were turbo-4s. I also found that they apparently pulled 0-60 in the low 6-second range...Pretty damn quick for an '80s 4-banger turbo (and still quick today).

    Hell, they even look great.

I don't know of any McClaren Capris that were turbo-4s from the factory (I've never seen or heard of one)... as far as I know they were all HO 5.0 engines with the Ford Racing B303 (I think) cam.

Always nice to see your car; I hadn't seen most of those pics.

Which year bumper are you going with? I ordered the 03/04 for mine yesterday, to complement the hood I already have on it.

I looked high and low for a 99/01 style for 6 months, but to no avail.

Oh, it looks like I misread; the article I was looking at was talking about the Capri RS Turbo just before talking about how ASC/McLaren took a Capri RS (no turbo) and converted it.

Thanks! Where did you get the 03-04 hood from? Was it a direct bolt on, or were adjustments needed to make it fit properly? Was it made for the GT or the cobra bumper?
I got the 03-04 cobra bumper a few months ago. I actually still need to buy the 03-04 hood though.

Did you swap out your 35th anniversary side skirts for the regular skirts? It is hard to tell by the pic.

Hood is from Cervini's, and the fitment is perfect. As far as I know it only needed the latch and support bumpers at the front adjusted to get the front edge right. I wish I knew which bumper it was made for; I know it fit with the Cervini's Stalker bumper fine but that tells me nothing. I'm really hoping I won't have to modify the Cobra bumper to have it fit properly.

Although it's a 99, I don't have the Anniversary package and thus I have the standard skirts. I believe all 99's had the 35th fender emblems regardless.

    I absolutely agree, it's great.
