Powder day at the beginning of March. March 2012 was the worst I can ever remember. Oh well, on to mountain bike season.

Not sure what your talking about. The NW has had an incredible amount of snow. I plan to ski till May and possibly later depending on how high I want to hike.

Step out of your bubble. Most folks on here are east coasters it seems. Those poor folks never even had a season! Icy groomers for 4 months.

I guess my sarcasm didn't show itself. I know we have been the lucky ones. It is important for Colorado to have snow. I guess your all in for a dry summer. I hope this isn't a trend for the years to come. for the sake of needing water and for your entertainment.

Nah it did. I'm just jealous but I'll tell you we get motivated here and traveling to the NW is certainly possible.

Well said on the water = life comment. We already have a major fire going on here. Nothing like Arizona did but lots of people see the potential for disaster. All it takes is one irresponsible person to ruin a lot of people's lives. They closed down the local shooting ranges near Denver and Boulder because of fire potential. Probably a good move.

I have family in Grand Junction, Denver, Colorado Springs and Durango so the fire thing has been on my mind also.

I had a pretty good winter in NYC. My local mountain in NJ blew a ton of snow and did a great job maintaining the trails and park features. The season ended about a month ago, but I got in a weekend at Killington and Pico a day after 7" of snow in Mid-March, and got in 20 days so I can't complain too much given that I live in NYC.
