Film Studios Trading Before Blockbusters

I was looking over Lions Gate chart yesterday, and their stock almost tripled since January, on speculation Hunger Games was going to be a huge hit, which it is!

So, I went digging for other big blockbuster and conveniently enough, most of the time, when a movie has a huge opening week, the studio stock jumps up.

I know all this is common sense, but I never thought of it before.

Now that the new batman is coming out soon, the new man in black, the rest of hunger games movies, spiderman, etc.

This could be something I look into more closely.
