Thread: Monitor/TV for Conference Room

  1. 03-27-2012 06:06 PM #1
I need to pick a TV for my conference room. It needs to be 50"+, and be capable of displaying power points, excel documents, presentations, and Comcast TV.

Does anyone have any good recommendations?

The room is fairly bright, and If it were under $2k that would be great.

I also assume I want to run some type of cable to the conference room? 5 Conductor VGA? Display Port? HDMI?

I'd go with an LCD. Perform well in bright rooms, lower power consumption, stand up to abuse.

50-55" 1080p LCD can be had for ~$1000.

some examples.. any one will really do, you aren't going to the ultimate picture here:

    Philips 55PFL5706 55" 1080p LCD TV
    As low as
    $964.12

    LG 55LK520 55" LCD TV
    As low as
    $1,099.00

    Toshiba 55TL515U 55 3D LED TV
    As low as
    $1,034.96

Sony BRAVIA KDL55BX520 55" LCD TV
    As low as
    $1,088.36

    Samsung UN55C6500 55" LED TV
    As low as
    $1,198.00

How far will the TV be from the source signal?

As Jesse said, just about any TV with a VGA and HDMI input will cover your bases for connectivity of sources. A matte-screen LCD (not an LED-backlit model, they tend to all have shiny screens that glare like crazy) would be the best choice.
