    what is this "tagging" feature that you speak of?

    Version E RNS-510 supports iPOD/iPHONE Tagging.

    If you hear a track on HD Radio or Sirius Radio, you can tag that track on your RNS-510 and then purchase it on itunes once you sync your phone or ipod with the RNS-510.

    Without having the ipod or iphone connected to the RNS-510, the navigation unit can store up to 80 Track Tags without losing data.

    The specific cable is required to support "Tagging" feature and it only works on Revision E RNS-510 with firmware 2625 or higher.

    do you know where I can get the longer iPod MDI cable with tagging feature? I see its sold, but i'm looking for a longer cable. The one that came with the car is way too short

    Dealer, or on ebay I've seen them too:

    It's only slightly longer though...maybe 4" longer tops
