A month ago I was offered a '12 TDI Lux for $50K +TTL. I ended up getting an '11 VR6 Lux a lot less though.

If so, what trim and what did you pay and howzit on fuel?
I just poked my head into the local dealer and checked out the '12 Toureg TDI they had on the floor. The "Executive Edition" was nice, but $60K? Really??

2012 TDI sport w/nav. Stickered at about $51k, but paid a little less. Still on the first tank, and I should get close to 700 miles out of it, so maybe 27mpg on the first tank of mixed driving? Computer said 29.5mpg on a 150 mile freeway trip we did. MPG should improve after a few thousand miles. Love it so far.

I have a 12 TDI Lux with about 6K miles on it now, I average about 660 a tank. Love driving it everyday.
I paid $700 below invoice for it.

Bought a '12 TDI Exec. Sticker $60360. Paid a hair or two less than $56000. Love it. Mileage is 24-25 average so far. Really fun to drive. Wanted all the toys.

Purchased end of Feb. About $47k out the door including TTL. No trade in. Dealer had set of Pikes Peak 20's with tires they pulled off Exec they put aftermarket rims on and sold those to me as well.
Had the Audi dealer I have a good relationship with do a ceramic tint. 20% on rears and 35% in front with a tint strip across top of windshield. I have Campanella white with black interior.
Put a post on the Touareg classifieds selling my 18" Tacora rims and tires with only 500 miles on them, and my old 17" Canyon's from my 2006.

I have a 2012 TDI Sport with Nav. It has about 5K miles and averages about 27 mpg . It gets in the low 30's on the highway after it is wamed up. I chose the Sport model because I do not like the panorama roof on the other models. Too bad as one can delete the roof on the Audi. Leather is nice but not needed ( my previous car was a 2008 535 without leather). At least the V-Tex is perforated. Wood is a nice touch but the piano black also looks good. I do wish my T had memory seats and memory mirrors, though. Always a compromise but I do not have to listen to a creaky roof.

Another 2012 TDI sport and after 2 cars (VW and Audi) with panorama, we are happy NOT to have panorama
Paid fraction below invoice.
6,000 miles in 3 months, works like a charm![]()

Got my '12 Sport TDI two months ago and love it. Didn't want all the bells and whistles of Lux or Exc. Avg MPG is 27-28...with lots of hwy miles. Black on black...great overall vehicle.

674 miles on my first tank. Refilled with 25.1 gallons = 26.8 mpg. More importantly, no AdBlue error.

This could be my next vehicle. I'm emotionally incapable of spending this kind of money on anything that doesn't come with a property tax assessment, but I think I might be able to draw $8-9K on a trade for my current ride. A contract in the high 30's is manageable as long as I don't look at the sticker.
NOW, I just have to convince the dealer to give me a nice, long test drive!![]()

That is a phenomenal deal man. They must have been eager to get it off the lot. What color did you get?
I paid about $58 for mine (black on black executive). Retail is $60 and change. Oh yeah, 0% financing too.
Hitch, plug, mats.
No more options to select.Where's my 4XMotion and ACC VW!
I'm having 3m film and tint put on today.![]()

It was a good deal but I paid $2400 for extended warranty...not as good. It all evens out. Care came with First Aid Kit, Monster Mats, etc. I did get the Euro Mats, which are way better than the Monster Mats.
Good luck!

Don't know yet if it's a waste. Had one for my T1 and used it twice after 4yr/50k warranty expired and that more than paid for it. I figured since the factory warranty is now 3/36, it was a safe move. It's my first diesel. Hope I never have to use it.

TDI Exec's can be had for 1 to 2% below invoice if you shop around different dealers. I got my '11 for 2% below last April even when supply was tight, but had to go a couple of hours away since no local dealer would play ball. Cars.com is your friend.
24K miles on mine now with not a single problem. No squeaks from the pano, no ad-blue--knock, knock. Love this car. Gets 31 on long highway drives.
I also bought the 100K extended warranty for $1900. Even though drivetrain is warrantied through 100K, there's a lot of other things that can go wrong on these cars, and I've always made a return on every extended warranty I've ever bought.
