So winter seems to be finally done with, everyone is getting their cars prepped for the spring/summer cruising/show season.
What are you planning on getting done to your Passat this year?
For me:
-head gasket
-timing chains/guides
-crack pipe
-rust repair
-replace front bumper cover
-repaint
My garage is going to be a busy place this spring! The engine stuff will be done by the end of April. Hopefully will have a good start on the bodywork.
and you?

frame notch, beef up lower control arms and armor the K members, and raise the motor some more.

I need to do a few things as time & funds (& patience) permit.
Figure out why the f this thing is sutch a b!tch to start in the mornings. And when I restart it.
Source a Canadian-spec dash (no kneebar notch) in that taupey-grey.
Replace the front bumper cover (mine has smiley-B3 syndrome)
Find someplace to stash the amp & Phatnoise, since the cabin is not as audio-friendly as my Mk3
Remove & build a smaller sub enclosure in the spare tire tub. Don't need one sized for two 10's.
Buff out the paint & touch up all the scratches & chips it's incured through its many miles & years of service.
Add harnesses for new CEL location, front lighting w/fogs, headlight relays & range adjustment bits etc while the dash gets swapped.
That's about all I can think of right now.

i am hoping to put my sedan back on the road after a 2 year rest...
i got mk4 calipers in at this time; i am waiting on some tresser tails to arrive and drive the car over to my work; 2 blocks down the road; so i can start thowing parts onto it; not at it...
if i can get the headlight washer syem; the tails; the front fogs and leveling system in this year; i will be a happy camper...
maybe put a few performance parts into the 16v motor also if time allows and the family schedual...

Going to redo the front brakes once my rotors get here and replace the ball joints. Also have to do some spring cleaning on it this weekend and get the salt and pollen off it.
Once I have some money I'll be buying some MK4 rear brakes and replace the rear wheel bearings and maybe possibly have my ABS working again...but I'm not holding my breath.

Id like to tackle the heater core and install a mk3 remote control locking unit in my b4.

Get mine back on the road again! I miss having a 4 door!
Tasked:
Chains
head spacer
stage 3 clutch (Unknown manufacturer, Spec has disappointed me)
LSD
re-route intake piping
maybe SRI
connect down pipe to exhaust
Make dump tube for waste gate
Re-register
Roll fenders
Finding time to work on my own projects is the big factor for me.

I wish to rebuild the motor and tranny from my old car and beef it up a lil. I was thinking about boring out to 3.0, but that may be too much for me yet.
realistically: tons of body work, new exhaust system, cleaning up the bay, tune-up, chains and clutch hopefully.

For my B3 Wagon VR6 Sport Automatic:
-replace hacked together engine harness. (Previous owner or owner's mechanic butchered the thing with splices and electrical tape.)
-replace poorly polished manifold for a stock one
-freshen up engine bay with some paint and missing plastics
-put interior back together and super douche all seats and carpet
-remove old purple tint
-replace all suspension/steering bushings, joints, etc.
-install new coilovers
-repaint lower portion of car
-rebuild 17" RSs for finishing touch
Just finished rebuilding a standard none EGR harness into one that has all the stuff I needed for my application. Painful.Still took less time than trying to find a "good" dizzy VR, with EGR, automatic one. Tint removed. 2 down, 7 to go.
