02A into mk1 peeps - standard 100mm driveshafts work?

Hi all - swapping in a 02A into a mk1 scirocco. I was originally under the impression that standard 020 100mm driveshafts would work. But in talking to Mike Potter last night, he said that he's heard they don't quite fit...anyone know or have experience w/ this? Need to order soon.

By standard you mean what?

mk2/mk3 100mm drive shafts will not fit in your mk1
mk1 100mm drive shafts will of course work ie 16v scirocco and or later cabriolets 85+ ish

Should be no problem as long as you have 100mm inners in whatever you are running.

I have mk2 axles in my mk3 with 02a, and have run a mk3 020 in my mk1 with late cabby axles.

I have always ran 100mm cabby or rocco axles w/10.1 brakes and 02A/J transmissions in mk1 chassis with zero issues and great OE fit!

I can say from experience, that they do fit, but:
If you have a header, the inner CV boot on the PX side, will rub on the headers.
Solution: A TT driveshaft boot has internal bellows instead of outwards...
80$ boot, but its a bolt on...
