Nope. None of the components in our kits are "aftermarket", but are rather OEM. The water pumps (from time to time) are the only items that are "aftermarket" (i.e. Graf or Hepu brand, etc); the rest are supplied by the Original Equipment Manufacturers that supply Volkswagen and Audi with them. These companies are firms such as Ina, Hella, Valeo, NGK, Ruville, Beru, Bosch, Contitech, NTN, etc. Volkswagen does not manufacture parts or cars as a whole, they assemble them and simply contract said manufacturers to produce these parts for them. To familiarize yourself more on what "OEM" means, feel free to drop us a line at 210.DUB.PART (382.7278) and we'd be more than happy to discuss it with you. We have been selling OEM timing belts on this forum almost 10 years now. In addition, there is nothing unique or special about our kits compared to the competitor (at least there should not be if your preferred supplier isn't horn-swaggling in any way). If your local store (or a competitor of ours) is buying 10 timing belts at a time (instead of 150), their pricing might not be as deep. This, however, will be something you'll have to discuss with them, as we'd have no idea of knowing. Thanks.

I purchased the timing belt kit that was $214, happy with the product and was surprised to see the water pump came with the metal impeller.

My only issue was I ordered early tuesday and after my email was never replied to called friday to get status because it still showed pending online. Was promised by a lady id get a call back but never got a call back. Called monday and was told by a guy its in transit now, reason it took so long to ship was it takes 3-4 business days to process the order, which was normal. So if your in a hurry just keep that in mind.

Do the timing belt kits come with the necessary replacement hardware for the various stretch bolts (The 4 engine mount bolts, 6 crank pulley bolts, and 2 washer bracket bolts). I've read that these must be replaced and are unsafe to re-use. Can you verify?

I ordered a kit and they did not come with any bolts, plus ive never seen the techs replace any while working at VW. Though i dunno what the official stance is on this
