So I have noticed if i gun it hard in 1st gear, then go to neutral, the rpm's will stay high and slowly come down instead of just going straight to idle.... normal or not?

What's the year make and model? 5speed 6speed. Does it still do it when its raining? Was it under exceleration or deceleration? Are you the owner of the car.
