That magazine looks like a tabloid and it is trolling people to pick it up. Its got a BS pic of a GTI VII, mention of Steve McQueen and girls, something declaring the M5 was tested and LOST, and another panel declaring their best muscle car ever winner is a surprise.
is it just me, or do the even numbered Mk's look better than the odd numbered? Recently...
I love the mk1 and mk3, but the mk2, 4, and 6 are just smoother and seem more refined...
I agree. I think that the odd generation cars have usually introduced a new look, often awkwardly in some way. The even generation cars have always taken that new look and smoothed it out, modernized it, etc.
MkI = super square. MkII = still square, but with tastefully tapered fenders.
MkIII = new, smaller grilles and body-colored bumpers, still square. MkIV = smoother, rounder, more integrated take on the smaller grilles and body-colored bumpers.
MkV = circles within circles everywhere, "me, too" styling. MkVI = canned the copycat circles, muscled-up body panels and headlights.
The front lip screams new civic to me for some reason. Anyone else? The headlights resemble the current Jetta, which I personally approve of. Wouldn't complain if the headlights made it to production.
Humm, look much like the current Mk6 design to my eye.
