So here is a video of my problem!!! Thoughts welcome!

So in the last few weeks I've been getting a hard knocking noise from the left front wheel-well, it's very repetitive if I turn the wheels to the left and drive. Any thoughts on what it could be?

Check and re-tourque your 3 upper strut bolts. Then could be sway bar end links bolts. Also it's a stretch but check the wheel lug bolts. If those dont cure the problem, try looking for something loose in the engine bay like intake box or battery.....
Jack up the front left and put the car in neutral and rotate the left front wheel to check the cv joint.
After all that, I would Check the setting on the coil over itself. Maybe one of your locking nuts loosened......

Yeah, I've checked all that, and everything is good. The Tiguan is going in at 8am tomorrow so hopefully I'll know by the early afternoon.

I had H&R coilovers installed on my 4motion and had a similar knocking noise also from the driver front while driving over rough terrain/roads. Found it to be the strut mount which had to changed with new. This fixed my problem with knock/noise.

Well, the Tiguan went in to Southgate VW in Edmonton, AB here. The source of my problem was (apparently) the Sway Bar End Links, they replaced them and it seems to have fixed the problem. The cost was a little heavy on the parts and labour $500.00Anyway, thanks for your pm's and reply's! much appreciated.

Sub frame bolts on our tiguans are major weak points as well once you lower them. Mine where badly bent when I put in S4 bolts causing knocking sounds
