This car was stock until Friday. Decided to dress it up for Port Townsend Cruise. Sorry for the crappy quality.

Looks good! I was walking down the sidewalk in Port Townsend yesterday and saw you turn onto that main road.

Thanks for the kind words. Future plans are to go a little lower, some 5 mil spacers in the rear, and a new windshield. I also have a Foha I'm going to install in the next couple days.

Actually it was the 90 year old german woman that owned it. Its got 265,000 miles on it. It has no lifter tick, and in the 5000 miles I drove it since its last oil change its only used about a 1/3 quart of oil
Its a WVW car, and she had it shipped back to Germany twice, so she could drive it there. I found deutsche marks underr the carpet when I detailed it.![]()

I know, I set the height at 4 am about 3 hours before leaving for PT Cruise. I'm going to get some new coils though because the passenger front is completely blown. I'd like another quarter inch drop in the rear and then even out the front.
I have some Zender skirts I'm toying with throwing on too

This was fun, nothing like seized plate light screws to brighten your day. Ended up going a little further than planned.
Heres a little lesson in rust repair mk2 noobs. Listen up!
Grind the hell out of everything rusty, go about a half inch out from where you think the rust stops. Use 36 grit, or a grinding wheel or a wire brush.
Clean the hell out of the bare metal with alcohol/wax and grease remover/ windex if you're poor.
Clean and dirt free is crucial.
Sand the surrounding areas with 320 grit, use a DA, or a sanding block, or a rolled up newspaper.
Clean it again. The first time you cleaned it was to keep from spreading any dirt/ grease when you are sanding the surrounding bits.
I'm using POR-15 over the heavy rust pitting, but this stuff works great for the minor rust that will be visible when painted. Acid etching primer. It attaches itself to the metal on a molecular level yo!
Once that stuff dries, sand it lightly with 320. Clean it again! ( I know, but you don't want it to rust again right
Now hit it with POR. A little goes a long way, too thick and it will bubble. Let this crap dry for a day before topcoating with the paint of your choice. Don't forget to sand it lightly with 320 and clean it again.
Now find something else to fix while you wait. I chose the window frames as they were painted prob 15 years ago with no etch primer. I'm also replacing the window scrapers which are in sad shape.
Top coat is this stuff right here. Next up, trim and rear bumper

The turbo'd turd stopped by my house for a visit today...
And got the Foha all wrapped up
Then went to a g2g and destroyed my front lip trying to leave a parking garage
all in all a productive friday.

This is probably the best 4 door I've seen on here, definitely my favorite. Rallye + small bumper = an amazing combo, never thought about it before but now I want to do it. Need a new set of front wheel well trim pieces too so this is perfect timing. Interior though really separates this one, love it dude, really do.![]()

For the well-being of the paint on your hood, take that bra off before washing. It's like raping a kitten every time you don't.
For those using POR-15 for the first time: they sell a starter kit including all of the wash / prep components that you'll need (and some nice spray bottles! haha).
Nice car man.
Any pics under the hood of the "turbo'd turd"?
