Thread: turns over, but no start

    replaced... battery, coils, and sensors

    1. fuel pump works
    2. ignition works

    what's next?

    culprit;
    2001 24v VR Eurovan

    Drove it daily, and 1 cold morning it started drove fine for 2 minutes and shut off.

    are your injectors working?
    some sensors will cause a crank no start when they go bad.
    any codes?

    ignition switch problem or crankshaft position sensor failure?

    Camshaft timing chains jumped? Have you scanned with VAG-COM?

    VAG done.

    It's the infamous clogged oil port, so the motor thinks it's out of timing. Gotta pull the head.

    What DTC or DTCs were reported by VAG-COM?

    In case you need engie data, it's not the 24v, 2001 had the AFP, which is the 12v.
