    I bought this from the dealer didn't give them the vin ... They told me they were all the same for mk4's ...installed this one...it's not the right one it is for a newer style mk4 I have a 2001. Pretty much brand new used it for a week. If your car has the phantom turn signal click and it's not your hazard switch this is your problem. $70 shipped obo.

    did it not work at all in a 2001? what was different about it besides the cruise buttons?

    Nothing really. My cruise control has never worked so I'm trying to figure that out...

    That IS the newer style one.. If you want to trade for an older-style stalk, I have one.. I know it works, as I pulled it from my own car.

    I bought a new hazard light switch but every now and then it blows out the fuse could the problem?
