It is like having a hamster, but with spikes: they don't want to be held, and if they did, you wouldn't really want to hold them. They are cute, but smell and they hiss!

I've been talking about picking one up for a few years. As long as my landlord allows a caged pet, I think I just might. I've found a few breeders in the area.
I have experience with rabbits and guinea pigs as pets in the past. Are they similar to take care of?
Anything to look out for?
Any advice?
