What are you doing for rear brakes?

I went with an S4 setup on the rear to keep the system balanced.

In case you haven't just done this yet...

The dust shield varies. I had to remove them on my 99, but was able to keep them for the 01.5. This is for front fitment of course. I did bend the shields away from the rotor on the corners. The radius is fine, but the ends/corners whatever came a little too close.

for the rears im using s4 calipers with b7 300mm rotors. also have you had to use s4 uprights in the front somone said you had to. to be honest i think its bs but im using 321mm s4 rotors with apikol caliper mounts.

I've got the same rear setup.

And no, stock A4 uprights for the boxster swap.

iirc, boxster S you need S4 uprights, boxster you can use stock A4 uprights.

Boxster's part number start with 986
Boxster S's part number star with 996

Correct, except for Angrypanda because he has an 01.5.

I'm not sure if there is any difference in my model. I had these brakes on my 99 until it got smooshed...

Boxster S calipers are the same as the 996 calipers. I can't remember what the difference is but they certainly don't install the same as the non S calipers. That being said, they can be used but I was sure you needed either an S4, or a V6 upright to mount them.

Not sure why people are saying you need S4 uprights. I have Boxster S calipers on stock early uprights (75mm bearing) using an Apikol adapter and B5 S4 rotors. They bolt right in. Been on the car for almost 2 race seasons with no issues
