Not sure if I have any words for this. Pucker factor 100. I'm glad she made it!

Unreal! KSUE is about four miles from my parent's place. Given the circumstances, I'd say the outcome was positive. Pucker factor well over 100!

Bad situation, but she did well. Those Wisconsin women are awesome

Of course, she'd probably been up a lot before, and maybe they even went over things to do in emergencies.

I just looked at the plane records because I thought the tail number and location in Sturgeon Bay sounded familiar (N53WT).

I ended up writing this accident report for that aircraft back in 2007. Small world. Of course we never believed the pilots account of things but that's all we had to go on.

If it weren't for the fence the plane wouldn't have been damaged

Though if the pilot (we speculated) didn't land long and fast this wouldn't have happened to begin with. Unfortunately, we didn't have any witnesses to refute what the pilot stated in his accident report.

He put in more flaps when he touched down? That's not exactly how I was taught to get weight on the mains. What an idiot.

At the FBO I used to work at we did taught emergency courses to spouses of pilots. How to work radios, basics of flight, etc. It was surprisingly profitable, and decently in demand. We'd do a few hours of ground, hour in a sim, and a flew landings in the real plane.

    That is one lucky lady!
