I was able to get a group buy deal on a couple TPMS Reset Buttons. For those who don't know many B6'ers are able to get rid of the TPMS sensors in each of their wheels and convert their car to use the ABS computer to compute tire pressure. There are few threads thrown together with vague instructions on how to do it. Honestly, I've spent hours looking at different threads and translated German sites to make sure I didn't screw something up! I'm about to post a DIY on it but I've been crazy busy and as of yet haven't been able to. My point is, if you want these from me, you're not going to be in the dark as I was

These are for B6 Passats and the button fits in the top right blank spot next to the gear selector. Installation is pretty easy and you do need access to a VAGCOM to make coding changes. OrientalParts is where some people have purchased them in the past at $69.99 + shipping. Through a group buy I can get them to you at $60 shipped.

      Price: $60
      Qty: 4

I apologize for the slow response--I've been traveling and just got into NC.

I already have the buttons so the first 4 to PM me and exchange funds through Paypal get it.

Not quite plug and play. You'll want to research the links found in this thread. Let me emphasize, you should have easy access to VAGCOM to check that your ABS controller can use this device before you buy it from me.

What it does: Our cars are equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System that checks tire pressure via a pressure sensor mounted as the valve stem of each tire. Each sensor transmits a signal to a wireless received in each wheel well which is then processed by the car's electrics and provides a logic signal that the wheel is either OK, or under inflated.

Many of our vehicles have and ABS computer that is capable of determining the pressure of the tire using the signal from the ABS speed sensor on each wheel. A calculation of how fast the wheel is spinning in regards to the speed of the other wheel on that same axle returns a logic value that the wheels are ok, or under inflated.

The downside to using the ABS speed calculation is that the calculations are based off a comparison of the other wheel on the same axle, (right front vs left front). If BOTH wheels are going flat at nearly the same rate then the system will tell you every thing is ok, when in fact both your front wheels are going flat. A pretty slim chance both of your wheels on the same axle are going flat, but none-the-less, it is a flaw in the system.

If your ABS controller can accept the coding changes and you have access to VAGCOM, you can simply reset the ABS TPMS system when you want to using VAGCOM instead of the button. The button is pretty cool though! I have the wire run the ABS controller but I'm getting conflicting information from the Bentley manual on which pin it should be run to. I'll update later when I get a little bit of time to research it further. Still planning on the DIY when I'm finished as well if someone doesn't beat me to the point.

Any update on installation instructions, I have bought a switch and coded vcds, just need help in how and where to tap the wires in.
