It's obviously still a few months away, but seeing as how it's now the only TV show I keep current on, I figured I would start the discussion early!

Chuck Zito will appear in season 5! I guess he and Kurt have buried the hatchet...
"You've seen it, you've heard it, and you're still asking questions?!?"

"Yeah, when do we go for a ride!?!?"

I thought I was going to hate this show given the topic but it is one of my faves. I do laugh when Jax has scenes where he is all worked up and yelling though, he sounds funny.

I'd have a hard time too if I was trying to yell at the top of my lungs and cursing in an English accent.

Not to be patronizing but you do know that Charlie Hunnam is English?

Of course I did, they are from California No I did not know that, still sounds funny. More so it is like he is yelling but is scared to yell or something. Christian Bale gets by just fine

EXCLUSIVE: Bobby Simone is moving to the wrong side of the law. NYPD Blue alum Jimmy Smits is joining the upcoming fifth season of FX’s flagship drama Sons Of Anarchy for a major, season-long arc. On the dark biker soap, Smits will play Neron “Nero” Padilla, a Latino gangbanger with an exit strategy who becomes a dangerous mentor for Jax (Charlie Hunnam).

Smits has played bad guys before, most notably the scheming ADA Miguel Prado in another season-long arc on a gritty cable drama, Showtime’s Dexter, but this marks a rare departure from Smits’ trademark shirt-and-suit look associated with most of his characters. Nero is envisioned as being heavily tattooed and definitely won’t be wearing a suit. He also is expected to be as dark and possibly even darker than Prado, a role that earned Smits an Emmy nomination. In addition to NYPD Blue and Dexter, Smits’ series credits also include LA Law, for which he won an Emmy, The West Wing and Outlaw. He is with Brillstein Entertainment, UTA and attorney Tom Hoberman. SOA has been renewed for a fifth and sixth season, with a seventh cycle considered a given after series creator Kurt Sutter was recently signed to a three-year deal.

    Kool-Mo-Dee

Yeah, Bale does a better job. Sometimes Hunnam sounds like a mish-mash of Bostonian and Canadian

excited for the new season, despite how completely weak the ending of the last season was after the build-up through the first 3/4 of it.

SOA talk starts about 15:40 in.

From the FX promos these days I think you are right...

Between SOA and Justified they make up the bulk of my FX air time....

I am guessing that's a dream sequence....saw it again and it looks like it was shot in a sepia color.

Great premier episode. Seeing Mercutio play a bad guy was awesome.

I found it funny how Gemma was nailing Jimy Smits character in the beginning of the show, then by the end he is hiding the club from the cops. Kind of a big leap No?

    exactly

I was encouraged by the amount of violence, and lack of reality tv show style drama scenes (although still there) in the first episode.

So U-Verse sucks and didn't record this even though I set it up. FX sucks for not allowing Hulu to air it. Is there anywhere I can watch last night's episode?

A great start to the season to be sure. The scene that dealt with Tig's daughter was pretty brutal.

Such a good start to the season !
I love the show but usually it takes a few episode to get into it, but season 5 the jumped right in

Question: Are we supposed to know who the guy with the prosthetic leg is? Of was it just a hint to remember the leg?

Greg the Peg is one of the Nomads. Think back to the scene where all the members were at "church" and one of the Nomads put his leg on the prospect's shoulder(fat guy w/ glasses), that's the one with the prosthetic leg.
