Acura might as well just shoot itself in the head, because clearly, they aren't using it for anything.

The upside is that it will only cost around $60k to turn yourself invisible in one.

The last time Acura did it?

Well, it already way more presence than the RL it's replacing, so that's something. Need to see it from more angles.

So, they moved the "styling direction" rear ILX line to the FRONT of the RLX?

    Whyyyyyyyy

Looks like an accord to me.

Good Lord. They've actually found a way to make their flagship sedan even less appealing than the current RL...and that is saying something.

    Are those Giovanna rimz????

Big Acura sedans seemed to have peaked in 1995.

    Current Acura styling department.

    Yarp or narp?

I'll have to see the the actual car from different angles, but eventually they're going to need to figure out a way to disguise the front and rear overhangs from the Accord chassis, otherwise it's always going to look like one.

The production version is going to be even more bland than this.

    Acura isn't even trying...

Problem is...I think they're under the impression that they ARE trying. Same as with the Crosstour "concept."

Let's be honest though; what car in this class is setting pants on fire? I'm aware that being as bland as the pack isn't a great strategy for differentiation, but from the sounds of it, the tech behind this car is going to more than do that.

    SRSLY

I'm guessing that this car will be AWD and pack a 3.7 liter V6 with an electric motor making around 350 hp.

I don't know about setting pants on fire, but the A6 & 5 series are wayyyy more interesting than this car.

Apart from the wheels, I like it (so far).
I like things with two wheels and things with four wheels.

    Underwhelming to say the least

The new Impala looks way more interesting. Honda is still mailing it in.

How? Pretty much everything is a slab sided three box-design. Change the detailing and logos and they could sell out of any showroom.

I keep wondering how in the world Honda/Acura has people so bad a PR and marketing they seem to allow the worst images to surfact first. I almost suspect the entire marketing division really hates the brand.

I think it is easy for any auto manufacturer to design a car more presence than the current RL. Even the new Impala look more presence than the RL. I hope this $65k CAD RL at least look "higher class"/more presence than a new Lexus ES (a $42k CAD car)
