I been on and off the phone with Dan@Waterfest and I talked him into letting the air cooled guys run with the water cooled guys. Stevebilt is also sponsoring the outlaw class so the winner should be taking home close to $1,000.

I was on the phone with Dan yesterday for about a hour and a half talking about all of that. Dan is having a meeting with the owners of the track about the track prep, cool down between runs, the time period we have to run on Saturday and Sunday, and some other small issues.

Palumbo just worry about being legal and not the track lol.

They prepped the track last year, but then proceeded to run the 2 lanes full of street tire bracket cars down the track while the heads-up guys waited in the lanes.

The it seemed like we had maybe 15-30 minutes of cool-down time before heads-up was called to the lanes again.

Next time try prepping the track and immediately running the heads-up cars first.
The serious guys are there and ready to run early, and there is more time to come back and prepare for the next round. It would be great if they did not try to end the event by 2 pm.

We are in for atleast 1 air cooled. We will bring 2 if the participants don't care that its like a 10.30 all motor dragster. Some of you know the car I am talking about from show and go last year.
As I told mike we have a big race the week before in south Carolina so people are planning just that far ahead for now. So I can not get a good air cooled head count as of now. But if you guys like, I can leave vacation early to fly home and bring a bug and a slow dragster that "dirt road palumbo" has been faster than

Dan has a meeting tomorrow with the owners of Englishtown to discuss the issues we have had in the past. (track prep, time between rounds, the actual time frame we are allowed to run ,ETC)

I spoke with Dan last night and he told me that the owners of the track said they will actually fix everything. They will be spraying and drag the track Satuday and especially on Sunday. He brought up some other problems we had in the past such as the cool down time. We will have 45 minutes between rounds for cool down. The parking situation is the only issue but I am heading there the Friday before to lay out some barriers for us to park.

I don't remember if there were any qualifiers on Saturday, I know Timmy and Todd just "hard parked" their cars and sat around last year.

I'll be there on Saturday getting my "wallet safe" ready lol.

This is a big one. Every year some teenage official is telling us we have to unload the cars and park the trailers in b.f.e. No good, as you well know.
