I have a lot of experience buying from these large asian factories in china and importing goods into the US. I used to be a large wholesaler and procurement specialist importing goods sold for frys electronics, tiger direct, newegg etc.

The one thing I can say is if you find a good reputable factory that is the certified holder of the product. Meaning they have the actual CE, RoHS, etc, etc certification and are actually ISO certified in making that product, usually the stuff can be pretty good.

It is kinda funny how it works over there, one factory will make something and it gets hot and all the others starting ripping it off and each time of lesser quality. They will boast compliance's and certifications but it could be for a USB stick and not the actual product like headlights.

If this is a good factory and there is a lot of of interest, it would make sense to get a pool together and do a big group buy.. the amount goes down with quantity and so does the shipping fees. 190 for one is obviously for express shipping.. a more traditional way you could get probably 6 sets for 200 bucks.

They're okay, my fear is that they look a bit over over the top, with the added angel eyes and such. But if they can be had for a reasonable price, we're so desperate for some oem replicas these could certainly make do for a couple of months while I wait for the good stuff.

I gotta say though that I'm skeptical about the install success at this time. If someone really got these going they'd be all over the radar with at least phone pictures.

i think i'd disable the angel eyes. i think they would look like **** -- but the LEDs look great from the photos. provided the projector lens is of decent quality, it'd be a great HID setup.

Got new harness's in but seems a few wires are still reversed, good news is I can attest that everything actually works on the lights but now I need to get it working on the same harness all at once. So looks like I will have to start switching around wires until I can match everything to the light but now I have all the materials to do so.

Just quick picture of the lights on the car....
How much did they cost you?
Where did you get them from?

Respect, but this is far from plug and play as promised somewhere. For the trouble, I'd just as well go the Chinese OEM route. Still interested in seeing how they actually look lit up installed though...

Another harness tried another one failed lol, apparently the manufacture is outsourcing a new harness to a company in Canada with same specs so they can test accordingly. I am skeptical at this point I will wait and see if this one works then try my own, no sense spending time and money on anything until they show they can not do it themselves.
As I said before I will give them credit they are trying to fix the issue.

Okay big progress made today, received new harness from company at no charge. First they actually had the wiring right but it was upside down so I had to trim away some of the surrounding flip and to test. After some cutting I hooked everything up and everything is working, only issue I am having is a bulb out error on the parking light which has switched to the halo light. I know some of the mark 6 guys had this same issue so I will research how they fixed this over there. I believe i can do some vag work and get this to go away or just live with it for awhile. This is better than these lights just sitting unused.

I will post pictures later of everything on but at least these will be on and useable .

Glad to hear about progress. If you figure it out, hope they comp you somehow for doing their QA work for them. Looking forward to some photos. Do you think you'll disable the angel eyes? Seems a bit overkill with the already awesome LEDs.

Yeah that's what I said about doing all their work for them but you expect it when you the first to try something. Right now I got to aim the Hid's then figure out the coding, as everything i tried so far as not worked but it may be something more than a simple check box. Or I may need to run power to that line to trick the ecu.

Yeah, you just single handedly boosted their sales by 1000%. You might want to watermark those photographs, the first thing they're going to do is steal them while they continue to claim plug and play compatibility...

Well hopefully people dont buy them unless they are ready to do some work on them. But that's not my job to police what people buy, but I will tell you this the guy I have been dealing with has been easy to deal with and has worked hard to fix the issues, not once mentioning paying extra for anything. But yeah they are not plug n play at all more like plug n play to get them to work on your end lol.
One last thing to work out in the next few weeks and hopefully I will be done.

Wow these look excellent. One request, can you do a night shot of these headlights shining on a wall so we can check out the output/cutoff of these projectors?

They look great. Even in the daytime they make the front end look higher end. The front is the one thing that bugged me about the B7. To me it looks unfinished, but i cant put a finger on why. This really changes the look...IMO.

Do the halo rings light up for drl's? I can't really tell if its lit in the daylight pic or not... BTW, love the lights, they definitely look amazing. As far as the new harness they sent, could you have just re-pinned it so that it wasn't upside down anymore, so you wouldn't have to grind off the clip, or does it just not fit flipped (considering it was pinned upside down, that would actually make it correct, and not really flipped at all, kind of confusing... lol). As far as install goes, can you post some pics of the harness, as well as any mods you had to make to make it work? Thanks in advance

Halos do light up just to much sun to see them on those pics. A far as the harness I can rewire on if I need to but after trimming what I needed and using some solid fitments it is fully secure to the oem harness. I will work on this later down the road but it is fine for now.

Looks great! Can you take another pic a little farther away? I want to see the whole look on the car. I'm not sure I"m willing to go through all the trouble of installing these but they look good!

I think theres got to be something in vagcom to get the ecu to recognize the led's as drl's but like I said we can talk when I get back in town at the end of the week.

Looks great man!, so besides the bulb out light the only issue to get them to work is the harness?, or is it more complicated?????
