Since I only drove this car 5 times last year, and just found another of my "dream cars" that I have been searching a number of years for.... I've decided to put this out there for sale for a couple weeks and see if I can find it a new owner.

Below are 3 "build threads" of things that I've done to this car. You can get a feel for everything that has been done to the car, and the quality and quantity of work that was done.

I've tried here to summarize everthing that has been done:

What’s done:
2008
Replaced fuel tank
Replaced front struts and rear shocks
All front and rear suspension parts media blasted and painted.
Rear poly bushings
Remanufactured rear brake calipers, all new hard and soft brake lines.
New e-brake lines
Complete front and rear brake job, rotors, pads.
New brake master cylinder
New battery
New starter
Rebuilt all shifter linkage

2009
Convert to manual steering
Delete A/C
Transmission swapped in diesel .71 5th gear.- custom machined. Transmission cleaned inspected.
Gear swap means 75mph is just under 3K rpm.- very quiet freeway cruising.
Bahn brenner 16VG60 integration kit
Digi 1 engine management – Bahn Brenner 16VG60 special software
$700 full rebuild of G60 charger by Bahn Brenner. New seals, bearings, apex strips, etc
Charger came originally from an automatic transmission car with 90K (was never over revved).
Rebuilt injectors
Engine block painted, compression lowered, new hardware, etc.
Reman Flywheel and new clutch.
INA serpentine belt system
All visible engine parts media blasted and painted. All new gaskets and hardware
Neuspeed cold air intake.
Custom charger bracket and breather. Oil catch can.
All new motor and transmission mounts.
New water pump, thermostat, hoses
New downpipe with catalytic converter. Extra wide band O2 sensor and gauge.
Brand new NOS Monza cat back exhaust.
New radiator- custom fan shroud
Front mount intercooler- custom intercooler piping,
Rebuilt ignition distributor.
All new fuel lines. Corrado fuel filter.

2010
Front wheel bearings
Bahn brenner RSR charger outlet and ISV bypass
Charger sent to BBM for inspection. New oil seals installed- clean bill of health
Gained the honor of a “Sweet build” comment from JBETZ at Bahn Brenner!

2011
Went from 4 headlight system down to 2 to get extra air over intercooler and radiator.
HID headlights/housings
Custom grill
Rear bumper shortened 5 inches
Front bumper shortened 3 inches
Both bumpers are now lower profile than euro bumpers, retained 16V bumper headers, and bumper lines match with body kit. (you don’t get this if you just do euro bumpers)
Rebar and brackets customized
Bumpers plastic welded, resprayed
Smoothed tail lights
Completely shaved rear hatch, no spoiler, no brake light, no wiper.
Drove 700 miles to pick up this fairly rare rear glass.
Only body filler ever used on car was on rear hatch. No bondo used. Holes welded up and filled with lead.
Hatch re-sprayed
Rear wheel bearings
New sunroof seal. Sunroof rebuilt, drains cleaned, new fabric in interior

First of all I am trying to contact the previous owner and give him the first chance at buying this car since I've been in contact with him periodically over the years since I got the car. If I don't hear back from him by end of day Monday 4/9/12 then the car is up for grabs.

So here's basically how I would describe the car as a whole.
Although there is a lot of customization, the car behaves like a normal car (which is pretty rare for a customized car). It idles like it should, has great power with the supercharger, runs awesome on freeway with the diesel 5th gear. I have about $3500 worth of receipts, another $1500 worth of parts and other cars that I used to build this car... and hundreds of hours into just the motor. All the mechanicals like brakes, wheel bearings, brake lines, battery, you name it, it's new or rebuilt in the past couple years.
In 2010 I used this car as my primary commuter car from April to November. Maybe put on 25,000 miles that year. Odometer is at 167K, Engine has about 40K on it since it was all gone through.

Interior is really nice. Seats great, carpet great, dash has a few cracks but most all of them do. I put the stock radio back in the car after the aftermarket unit stopped working.

Exterior is all the original paint. Still shines- looks great. Car does have a few dings, and two small rust spots about the size of a pencil eraser. One on passenger door, one by driver rear quarter window. Other than that, underbody, fender wells, etc, all clean. I never drove this car in the winter. period. I probably have a couple hundred hours into body work as well.

I have run this car at the dragstrip 2 times just to see the times, and best time was a 14.2. Cant remember a MPH. Car handles very nice. I have used this car to lead our local fall cruise, the car easily can outhandle and out accelerate most of the newer VW's unless they're really modified.

I have a wall full of trophies that I've won with this car if that is your thing. It's a nice car.

Price is $5500 firm. Don't bother to offer less, I won't even answer the PM. Only reason I am selling is because I found another car that I want more.

Local Milwaukee folks all know me. I was president of local VW club for awhile. This is a a good clean car. Will ask others who have seen it to post up here and vouch for it.

Answers to questions received so far:
-does it need any work?
My answer to that is that it's due for an oil change and that will be done this weekend. Car always run on mobile 1 synthetic. I am also doing spark plugs, cap and rotor this weekend. No running issues, just have parts and is due.
I've tried to preserve original paint, bumpers and hatch were modified and resprayed. Rest of car is original paint. Looks good, but has imperfections that pretty much are only noticeable to someone who spends hours hand waxing the car.
I was planning on updating suspension this year. Has 3 year old shocks, no issues, just was the next thing on the list to upgrade that I didn't get to.

Any illegal modifications?
Does not have front license plate bracket installed, and does not have side mirrors installed. I have the parts that will come with the car.
Exhaust has a 2-3 year old downpipe/cat. Emissions should be all good for most states but California that I know of. Only reason I say California is that I have considered moving back there, and the motor is so obviously modified that I don't think CARB would pass it.

These are the filler panels that I fabricated to delete the mirrors. They mount just as the mirrors did, with a seal and 3 screws. I do have the mirrors that come with the car. Maybe 15 minutes a side to put it back to stock.

Car is really quick, so no real need for concern about what is behind you
