As titled:

I update the thread title, within 60 seconds of the original thread post, and sweet ****-all happens.

Users don't have the ability to edit threads after they're posted. You can edit your posts, but not the thread (and hence the thread title) itself.

If you need a thread title changed, hit the report post button (the little "!" in a triangle at the bottom of every post) and just type out in the form what you'd like done. It will let the moderators know that they need to have a look at it.

All I want to do is add the missing vowel from my typo. I can do that in the body of the post. No need to get actual human beings involved (MODS), because, I, an actual human being, am already aware and ready to make the change.

Sorry, but we don't have thread editing enabled for users, for various forum software based reasons. If you need something in the thread title changed, you'll have to report it to a moderator so they can fix it for you.

It's not a big deal for them to do it - it's part of their job, and they certainly don't mind.
