I shipped an Audi TT from NJ to Bremerhaven, initial cost was around $900 for the shipping, 100 euro for port costs and 65 euro for a train ride to Bremerhaven.

Most of us had our cars shipped through the military. But from what I heard its about a Grand to ship to germany.

I was thinking about getting my Cobra shipped over here, and was quoted around $1200 by a couple different companies .

Our second car was around $900. My parents dropped it off in Baltimore at EH Harms and I picked it up in Bremerhaven at TransCar.
TransCar is the company that handles military/government shipments so they were fully aware of how everything works. Great company to deal with.![]()

I'm paying out of pocket for my GTI to go back to the states. It's gonna cost me $1810 from the port at Emden to Dallas. I'm sure coming over here would cost about the same.

Emden to Dallas is a wierd route... Something out of Bremerhaven to a major seaport on the East Coast or vice versa is going to be cheaper.

You'll have to start sending out emails to shipping companies and get quotes. It really all depends on the global economy and the value of our dollar. I was looking to ship my Audi A4 on my own to Bremerhaven. Before I left for Korea, I was getting quotes from $1K-$1.5K, that's with shipping, port costs and taxes and fees. A year later when I was ready to ship, the prices had gone up to over $2K! Every company said their quotes from a year earlier had gone up because of the rising cost of oil and the weakening US dollars' exchange rate. My car blue booked for just under $10K, so I decided it was better to sell than pay 25% of the cars' value just to ship it...![]()

If I was just PCSing, I would have shipped it to the East Coast, but I am going back through tech school and just don't have the time to drive from the East to Sheppard. Going to Bremerhaven from Maryland would probably be your best bet!
