i have a ko4 godspeed turbo, and i got like 5 k miles on it so far. maybe more... but i do not get into boost well past 5 psi untill its warm, and i let it cool down for a short period befor i shut off specialy if i been driving hard. so far my godspeed experience is good. i would recomend it at this point

As for the godspeed turbo's, I've heard mixed reviews. If my choice is to rebuild a genuine borg warner K03s for $200 vs a knockoff k04 for $600, I'll rebuild.

Dropped the turbo off at Blouch Turbo in Lebanon, PA for a balance so next Friday when I'm home from a business trip, I can hopefully fire this baby up!

Fixed the front bumper cover. Whom over the previous owner was broke several of the tabs for holding the cover together near the headlights. Some Plastic Weld 2-part epoxy took care of that! Also put the washer cap on and fixed the lip too.

Big things will happen in a few weeks. Right now I'm finishing up my final semester as an EE student so there are few projects to complete.

Specific shops can do it. BlouchTurbo.com, turbocity.com are the two I know of. You could also lookinto a shop that rebuilds diesel turbos for trucks, they may be able balance for you as well.

Car is 99% put back together. Tomorrow the airbox goes in, Tuesday the oil filter/cooler gasket changed, oil filled, coolant filled and she should be ready to run!

After this, the brakes need replaced/bled, inspection and the ST coils go on.

The good news: Car starts, runs, drives. No more turbo whine, builds boost like it should.

The bad news: After the car ran for a bit, there was still some smoke coming out the exhaust. When I got my hand behind it and gave it a sniff, it didn't smell like oil which means its coolant....however I'm not sure if its residual or if the headgasket is going.

Im leaning towards headgasket (which I was originally going to do, but in the interested of possibly saving some $$$ upfront, I skipped.)

Lastely, the wheels fit but damn are the tires close to the suspension. I can even get a pinky finger between the sidewall and the front suspension bits. Wheels are 17x7 et 50 wrapped in 225/45's. From what I understand, the S4 wheels were 17x7 et45. 5mm isn't much and I'm not sure I'm even comfortable with that! So, some spacers might be on the order list now...

      tl:dr - car still smokes.

I have 5 words: I learned the hard way. Thats right, upper control arm bolt. No amount of MAPPgas/pb blaster/beating with a hammer has loosened this bolt so I have resorted to drilling. Hopefully I can get that finished rather quickly tomorrow...wish me luck.

Replaced 2 CV boots, those were surprisingly simple. Suspension and wheels will be going on tomorrow as well

Quick picture with the coils on in the first post. Car is looking better. Still have a smoking issue out the tailpipe that needs addressing. The more I think about it, the more I think I should have done what I originally wanted: get the head decked/rebuilt and put a new HG on. Oh well, live and learn!
