Thread: intermittent check coolant indicator

  1. 04-07-2012 11:10 PM #1
Every once in a while I get the stop the car check coolant message a few seconds after starting. coolant level is good and the temp gauge is working. Any ideas what might be causing this? It goes away if I shut down and restart. My guess is the coolant level sensor?????

First thing I would try is to add about one cup of coolant and see if that corrects the problem.
