What's the difference, if any, between those with fog and without?
#75
any pics of the lights with fogs? do they have the leds bulbs and everything needed ?
#76
The older model for fog only had a dedicated LED bulb for the fog. This is not removable.
The current model uses 2 incancescent bulbs for the reverse. If you wanted the fog option, replace the driver's side reverse bulb with a red one, and than do the necessary wiring and add the euroswitch, etc.

I noticed a Euroswitch option. Does that mean the lights are wired for the euroswitch, or does it mean you include the extra switch in the package?
If it is the latter, is it the switch with the auto function or without it? Is coding different if with the euroswitch?
Thanks!!

Received, installed, tested, happy.
Pretty fast shipping, too! Ordered Sunday got them this Saturday.
Packaged well! It was obvious you went through and made sure all items were undamaged and accounted for before they left your hands. Awesome!![]()

I just got my 2012 TDI w/ tech package and absolutely love it! Now that I'm convinced I don't need to spent double the $$ on OEM tails, I just need to figure out the proper coding for my setup. I haven't seen anyone here with the configuration that I'll have (Xenons + LED DRLs + LED tails), so I'm not sure what to expect when I plug 'em in. I want my DRLs to run with the headlights, at reduced brightness (as they do now).
In any case, I'll definitely order a set of these on the 8/17 if you still have 'em. Sadly, my budget won't allow it til thenI broke the bank buying the car!
On a side note: I've heard you can replace the halogen bulbs in front fogs to xenon. If true, how is this done? I want 'em to match the heads.
Thanks,
Don

Love 'em!
I also trimmed the little tab on the inner lights so that it fit better. Very safely packaged!
I guess I just need to change the coding on my car now
Thanks Ed

Here's a stupid question, what's the difference between fogs or no fogs?
#104
The fog option replaces one of the reverse lights with a red bulb. To get it to work properly, you need a euroswitch, some wiring and coding to do. Most people dont bother, as they prefer to have 2 reverse lights, and depending on where you live, you may need to 2 reverse lights for your vehicle inspection.
The no fog option uses 2 clear reverse bulbs, and you only need to clear our the bulb out error. For most people this is the easier solution to do.

I'm hoping the non-rear fog option takes off. There is nothing more annoying than driving behind someone with one turned on when its clear out.
