So the fiance is getting me a watch. Looking to get something nice looking, but that I can also wear any day if I want.

I'm thinking this Armani fits the bill pretty well. Looks slick, ceramic seems like a good choice.
Regularly $545, Macys is having it for 25% later this month and it's roughly $350 on The Bay.

Thoughts on Armani watches? Ceramic watches? Different ideas in general?

    Thanks!

had an armni watch at home. To my knowledge they are actually made by fossil as well as a whole host of other brands. As far as the quality mines still sticking, but the design was very poor. Sharp pieces off the side of it on mine and the band just doesn't seem to hold up to abuse like my other previous watches have. Overall the thing feels like a low quality watch. Up to you, but I wouldn't be paying that much for a fossil wanna be

While they are distributed by Fossil, I didn't think the quality seemed too bad when I was trying it on. You didn't have an Armani Exchange watch did you? Those looked quite a bit cheaper to me.

The one I have is an Armani Exchange yes, but again unless I have some way wrong info here's it's all the same company and all the same quality. Either way it's your money and you do what you want with it. Personally if I was dropping the amount of money you are about to i'd be looking at a few other watches. For reference this is the one I currently have. The first one the pin on the band actually snapped in half. I've never had that happen before on any watch. The second one I got looks like it's been through hell and back and like I mentioned before the side pieces on it are sharp as hell. I ruined a 100 dollar pair of sheets with that watch.

I currently have an infatuation with Tissots. As long as you can verify if it's a real deal and not a knock off it's a hell of a watch. Take a look at a few of these.

Here's a few and each of these are in teh 325-390 range on Amazon. About the same range that you would spend on a watch that is basically a fossil.

Dude, your OP did say "different ideas". If you like the watch in the OP, why not just buy it? If you're just buying the AE watch just for looks, then who cares what else is out there, provided you can afford it. However, for the same money you can get higher quality watches, but they may not have the same visual appeal as the AE watch. Tissot does make a decent watch--I have a PRC200 which retails for about $450. The watch itself seems pretty decent, but the band seems pretty cheap, IMO. Another brand to consider is Hamilton, but they typically have more traditional styling than what you're looking for. I have a Jazzmaster Maestro in brown which I have become more fond of the more I have owned it. It's a pretty high quality piece for the price I payed. It's probably a bit too boring for what you're looking for however. I have recently become fond of the Victorinox Dive Master watches in gunmetal, but they're of the traditional dive watch design. You might also want to look into Rado watches which to my mind are quite contemporary looking, but can be fairly pricey IIRC. I think they're a bit higher quality than the EA watches as well. Some also like the styling of Nixon watches, as well.

Ultimately you have to decide what you're looking for in a watch. I prefer more classic designs myself, in most cases anyway, so my choices probably wouldn't appeal to you. But the suggested brands are generally pretty decent.
