Look for some not so common exhaust shops. Had the same issue. I called some chain stores just to see how much and most wouldn't touch it if I didn't purchase a new cat from them. Best bet is to find a buddy that knows their way around a welder.

I have a mkiv 2.slow that I need to get a new cat welded on. Does anyone know of a place in or near littleton that will do it for a realistic price?
I just want to bring in the pipe and cat or car and cat and get it done without any b/s.
