Suggestions on sway bar setups in a mk6 gti...

I currently have kw v1s with bbs chs, looking for a little tighter feel in the twisties and wanted some suggestions...

...also, i have been looking into some sort of dogbone insert or upgraded pendulum mount, any thoughts?

Try a rear sway bar first, either the solid 24mm H&R or hollow 27mm APR/Hotchkis, they are both adjustable. It's best to put a front & rear one on at the same time, but the front one takes a long time to install, rear only takes 20 min.

As for dogbone inserts, I've tried BSH and Autotech, but I removed both due to the added vibrations they caused. The BSH one performed better than the Autotech one to me.

Pendulum mount doesn't make that much more of a difference over the torque mount insert on the MKVIs. If you don't want crazy vibrations in the car, stay away from the stage 2/90a+ durometer inserts. I have a 70a insert from BFI and it makes a big difference, and the added NVH isn't too bad

Plus I recommend the H&R Solid 24MM rear sway bar. Also OP I'd get yours corner balanced.

Thanks for the suggestions and feedback everyone. I'll talk to my tech about this as well and see what he thinks.

Just to clarify, I DO NOT want a race car. I went with the KWs because of what I had heard about their comfort and daily drivability and I am very happy with them. If you all think this stuff is going to be too harsh/racey, let me know.

24mm is fine for DD and weekend fun. 27mm is a bit too much IMO.

the 27mm bar's aren't crazy....you aren't going to be 3 wheeling or oversteering...I have had a bsh 27mm solid bar for 3.5 years being perfectly fine with daily duty

Decided to keep my stock suspension, but have a H&R 24mm rear sway ready to install. Hoping this will tighten up some of the lean this car has. DG springs will have to wait.

What else have you done suspension wise? Have you had your car corner balanced and if so what did you think? I didn't think that it would be that necessary but I cam curious what everyones thoughts and experiences have been.

i have koni coils as well as the bsh rear sway...thats it for suspension...I never corner balanced it, i don't feel it is necessary since my car will only ever get minor track time
