Thread: FS: 2004 Audi S4 Black with nogaro blue interior. (Rare!)

So, It's that time again.. time to get something new. I've owned this car for a little over a year now. I've loved every minute of it. I've recently been promoted at work, and this opens up a few more options as far as vehicles go. So due to lack of garage space, I cant hold on the the black beauty. The car is extremely quick as everyone here already knows. It's fitted with an AWE tuning catback resonated exhaust that turns heads just cruising. It has a nice rumble to it at all times. With the windows up however its still nice and quiet inside. The car has been garage kept and always pampered. Clean title (I also hold the title, so no loans or anything to deal with) So, here's the specs below:

    For Sale: 2004 Audi S4 (B6)

    4.2L V8 with Quattro 4WD
    91,500 Miles
    340 HP stock
AWE Tuning Catback Resonated Exhaust (+15hp)
    Tien Sport Springs
    RS4 Rear Sway Bar
    APR Tuning snub mount
    Enkei 18" RS4 style wheels
    Conti Extreme Contact Tires

    New:
    Alternator + Alternator Belt
Sway bars and bushings (when I upgraded to RS4 bars I replaced everything)
Front axles + CV joints. (the boots tore, so I just replaced everything)
Front upper control arms (My mechanic recommended that I do that at 90k miles)

The car now has 91500 miles.

Some photos here have the lamborghini gallardo rims on it, the car comes with the RS4 style rims.

    Asking $16,500

Have the timing chain guides been replaced? Original clutch?

Timing chain guides are original, I've had the engine checked out by audi because of the start up sound that apparently all 4.2 S4 motors have.. They told me its normal and there's nothing wrong with my motor.

as for the clutch, I'm not sure. the clutch is very good and i've never had it slip. I dont know if the previous owner did change it or not. can the dealer check this for a reasonable price?

the car can do with new lower control arm bushings on the front right, (sometimes when backing out of my garage I hear a sound) I've changed all other bushings but them, so I assume its the culprit!

other than that, I'm given a check engine light if the car is driven spiritedly due to the aftermarket exhaust..

also, the price has been dropped. im asking 15,750 OBO

If i'm offered close to my asking price, (more than 15k) I'll throw in my vag-com cable for free.

not trying to jack this thread just giving out useful info to any potential buyers, because im pretty sure you've had some IMs about this beautiful car, the timing chain service is usually a smart thing to do around 100,000 miles. this "rattling" noise has been debated for years and it basically boils down to the tensioners "possibly" being worn. now i can completely understand if someone would not to do this service to their audi, because the cost ranges from 5k to 10k, but if it is done you could potentially get 2k to 3k more for your car.

Thanks! It's one of those cars you wont forget. I know I'm going to kick myself for selling it once I get bored with the lotus, but I've been bitten by that British car bug and cant help it.
