3.6 VR oil question

I've put 6K miles on my cc since purchasing it. the dealer had changed the oil and used castrol syntec. I bought the 5w=30 syntec Edge. should this be OK for this engine? And not having changed the oil before on this car I presume I"m going to have to remove all that plastic underneath the engine to get to the filter and drain plug too?

i havent heard of syntec edge....but i usually use 5-30 mobile 1 in mine.....you are deff going to have to move that belly pan and you will need a 17 or 18mm for the drain plug....a allen key or allen socket to drain the oil filter ssy and a 32mm socket or good adjustable wrench to unscrew the filter cap

That's the new name for the synthetic Syntec....they just call it Castrol Edge now
