Well guys i'm just preplanning here, but id' like some advice. Hoping bsick comes in too. Anyway i've been getting a squeaking in my brakes on my front driver side for about a week or so now. Pretty sure its' not anything lodged in there, but i'm taking it in Monday to have it checked out along with my oil change.

I need suggestions on a pad that grips a little better than stock. The same question goes for rotors i've pretty much settled that i'd like a slotted rotor despite any minimal gains I might actually get out of them. I'm not wanting to go adams rotors so those are out of the question i'd like something quality.

I'd also like some help finding some oem parts should I just decide to go another oem route until I can do a bbk.

I really like the OEM stuff personaly. I have zero issues with break dust and performance wise is perfect for my stock cc. I'm sticking with OEM till I eventually buy a BBK.

Not that its bad but I hear they just buy cheaPie blanks and machine them id rather go with someone who does all their stuff in house. Plus if my information is correct how can you properly stand behind your product

I have been really happy with the Hawk HPS pads. Much better bite than the OEM pads and a lot less heat fade. Another bonus is significantly reduced brake dust. Used them on numerous different cars with similar results. Use some of this stuff when you install the pads for squeal free operation:

x2! I personally like Hawk Hps for daily driving.(F&R or F& OEM rear)
Rotors I'll go with plain centric rotors (w/black painted hub)
Very durable rotors and best bang for $$.

Did you swap out the rotor with another set or did you go with the oem rotor from vw?

I already changed both F&R rotors and pads multiple times. I keep on coming back to HPS for daily even my other car has the same set-up HPS and centric rotors. I chose the centric over OEM mainly because of the price and it's durability.

I kept on saying its durable because I tried using the second most aggressive pads that Hawk has to offer for our car which is the DTC-60. The result were really good, it did not warp and remained solid the whole day (track day). IMO it will last as long if not a tad bit longer vs OEM.

I have this set up, I just love it. CC feels completely different from stock. Dion from ACHtuning will help you.

I like that setup airmax, just would want to go with slotted instead of drilled.

In that case will be a little bit more noise every time you brake. Is all about preferences.

Don't mind that at all. Just don't want to prematurely replace the rotors if the drill holes start to crack. On another subject for a moment would anybody recommend stop tech over hawk's or is it pretty much the same thing?

of adams but i thot i'd give them a try.
ive never used them before...they recommend stop tech pads with
their rotors. so will give them a try too...

Upgrade to the 4mo setup. Stopping power is AMAZING!

Otherwise, get some quality rotors (Brembo, ATE, etc) and some higher quality pads. I ran AXXIS Ultimates on my B5.5 Passat, and am currently running Hawk HPS pads on my Touareg.

That's more than i'm looking to spend at this point especially considering apr stage 1 is 600 bucks and that's 1,000. I'd rather go faster on a slotted setup than brake hard on a mid range with no speed :d

Annnnd there is no performance advantage to slotted or drilled brakes, for looks only on a daily driver.

So what's wrong with a little bling;-) I like the look of drilled rotors. I really don't care if they don't perform any better as long as they don't detract from my braking ability. No different than any other appearance mod.

Agreed! I would like some drilled Baer brakes myself but I don't have that kind of cash to spend on brakes.
