Just wanted to confirm operation of a Secondary Air Solenoid 191 906 283 A.
No voltage or disconnected = closed no vacuum applied to the combi
12 volts applied = open drawing vacuum to the combi

Has anyone ever seen one stuck open applying vacuum continuously?

Also to test the pump, does it just require battery and ground? I applied battery and ground to the pump and nothing! Having replaced the Combi valve 18 months ago and now having a possible bad pump and solenoid is not going over real well......$$$$$.

Any recommendations? All i want to do is get 6 readiness codes cleared for the PA inspection. I'm not interested in a chip because of the advance and having to burn high octane fuel.

haha looks like you found your problem. If you put 12v directly to the pump and it doesn't come on you have a bad pump. I see a lot of blown strip fuses on the sa relays at my shop. good to take a look at that as well. As for the solenoid they are like 8 bux iirc from the dealer.
