Took me 15 minutes to remove both perches. With tires on. It isn't hard especially if you're perches are already on top of the spring. Mine were bolted into the control arm under the spring. Once you remove the perches remember... Wherever it sits is where it will sit. You simply have to adjust the fronts to match the backs. I am really curious how it will be if I remove my spacers. Going to do it tomorrow and drive with only spring and no spacers to see if it still scrapes. If it doesn't I am golden once I switch my wheel spacers for thinner ones

Haha, alright. I'm gonna jack my car up tomorrow to check out whats going on under there. I'm only 15 and don't know if i wanna **** with anything that will mess up my driving ability. haha

Also, how long does it usually take for springs to settle in?

Im thinking about getting the 18x8 front and rear Raderwerks MO-2 S wheels. I need help deciding which tire size I will need. Im dropped on ST coils (all the way down), so I'm looking for tires that wont rub. My local wheel/tire shop told me to look for 225/40. Would these be fine?

Your brother rides in a Tc? That makes two males I have ever seen in a Tc. Have only seen girls drive that car lol

By the way, I see you didn't lower the rear. Once you remove the perches, you will probably need to take off the front wheels and adjust the height to match the rear. Maybe not...

A lot of females drive Tc's, but the majority of drivers are males.

Just removed my rear perches today! Theres still about 1/4 of an inch between the top of the tire and the edge of the wheel well on both sides. My springs should still be working on settling out a little bit.

One question. I'm going to get Raderwerks MO-2 S wheels, but I don't know anything about lug nuts for the wheels. What size lugs would I need for these wheels? Thanks for the help!

Our cars don't use lug nuts. We have full length bolts. Unless you get spacers between the wheels and the hub, you should be able to use the same bolts I believe.

And, 1/4 inch? Really? Snap a pic. I find it hard to believe there is that much of a gap with no perches. Unless ST rear springs are simply higher than the SoloWerks ones. Everyone seems to say they are similar.

There isn't really a wrong part when it comes to removing the perches. The perch is the entire thing, so only the spring is left. (and the rubber that goes on the top and bottom of the spring of course)

What could have happened is when you removed the perch, the spring wasn't aligned properly so when the car was lowered back down the rubber on top wasn't seated properly. Make sure that spring isn't sitting partially in and partially out. Could be dangerous! I had to align it with my hands while someone lowered the jack slowly.

There has to be something that keeps the spring in place though? Does it really just freely sit there? I removed half of the perch because I figured something had to keep the spring in place. I unspun the adjuster and took that part off, leaving the top part of the perch with the threads on it.

Just realized I have brake drums in the rear while I was checking the bolt size for wheels. Should I paint the drums black so they aren't do visible? They're pretty unattractive and I'd like to hide them as much as possible somehow.

Just bought Raderwerk MO-2 S wheels yesterday with some Yokohama 225/40 tires! Tires should be here tomorrow, but my wheels will probably be here next Monday or Tuesday. Really eager to get them installed!

Haha, yeah, thanks for the advice. I'm kind of scared to see if my black emblems are going to look good anymore once I get the new silver wheels on.

Tires came in on Wednesday and my wheels came in today! This next week I probably won't have them installed. Next week I have to bring my car in to the body shop to get a dent repaired from the people that installed my coilovers. While my dent is getting fixed I'll be getting my windows tinted. Maybe Friday next week I'll get my wheels installed! Really excited to see what these things look like on my car!

Second of all, I'm getting my windows tinted this week and need some ideas of what percent of tint I should do! Post some pictures of tinted windows on MK6's and specify what percent the tint is please. Thanks!

20% tint all around. ( Old picture don't mind the 4x4 or drums!!! )

You may want to consider state law when deciding on tint. I have no idea what it is where you live but I know it played a factor for me.

Yeah I think im gonna go with 25% on all 4 doors and 10% on the back window. 25% is dark as legal on the front doors.

For visibility purposes I would recommend 30 percent all around. I had 20 percent on my last car and at night it can get tough to see. I found 30% to be the perfect tint for looks and practicality. Then again, I'm not as young as you

if i were you i would do 35%. it looks clean and can be dark depending on the lighting. i took my dads truck and got 35 put on but when i took my car i did 15 and its super dark. if i were to have it done again i would have done 35 but thats just the learning process of being a teenager haha. oh and i have 2 tint tickets so far

also you could get away with rolling your fenders without your parents knowing. i did mine myself because my friend had a fender roller and its not hard to do.

im guessing he works. im 17 but i had a job that payed me a good amount of money. hopefully i will get the new job i applied for that pays $12/hour

I actually had a motorcycle accident and it was another persons fault, so I came out with quite a bit more money than I first started with due to injuries, etc. My parents helped me buy the car, but i've put my money into some of the car, coilovers, wheels, and whatever else i've done.

My parents told me that i can't spend anymore money until I get a job, but yesterday I just got hired for a job, so i'll be getting more stuff in the upcoming months

I agree with jtc411, tint will look just as good at 30-35% as it would any darker, and you would be able to retain your visibility at night which is always good.

Cool, I think i'll just go with 25%. That's what the shop normally does, so i'm sure it'll be fine.

I got 32% in the fronts and 5% everywhere else... sooo dark! lol. Looks amazing in the daytime though
