I downloaded it a few years ago, but can't find it again for my new computer. Looking for a typeface (I believe enthusiast created) of the early mk2 badges, like:

    '11 Golf TDI
    '63 Type 1
Cookie Monster: This show is brought to you by the letters M, Q, and the number 5.
Lawyers from Audi, BMW, Nissan (in unison): You can't do that!... See you in court!

I was interested when I read your post so I did a little searching (researching).

Here's what I found (just in case others want to know):

    - "Eurostile" was used for the gauge faces.
    - "Serpentine Sans ICG Bold" / "Serpentine Sans" is really close to the badge font.
    - "Eurotechnic" is also sort of close.

I actually tried something like this a while back.... I can't remember the site, but it was a free text builder... The interface was quite time consuming so I stopped after a handful of letters.

Good luck though! I'd like the font myself as well so that I can create a rear banner sticker like the SCIROCCO's had

Found it! I believe when italicized, it also becomes the mk1 typeface.

Buried on my other hard drive. Link below:
